On 22 October, former Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende gave a lecture at Renmin University on the topic “China, Europe and the Eurozone”.
Afterwards he had a lively conversation with the CEO of the Bakkergroup.
Mr. Balkenende is currently partner at Ernst & Young and Professor of Governance, Institutions and Internationalisation at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

The CEO of Bakker Group, Mr. Tom Bakker visited Midea headquarters in China. Midea Group, a joint venture company with more than 40 years history in the business field of appliances and air conditioning systems.

The visit was planned a few months ago and official visit was made in February, 2012. The visiting aims to having a better understanding between Bakker Group and Midea Group in terms of business concepts and all other aspects.
The formal meeting was held in the head office of Midea Group, during which two parties had a further discussions about Micro Wave Fabrication.
In the end of the visit, a lovely dinner was arranged at the Golf Club owned by Midea Group.
Tom Bakker as the CEO of Bakker Group is very welcome and open up opportunities to communicate businesses with other corporations.
